As an artist who evolves at the intersections of design, fashion, and the artisanal weaving techniques she often invokes in her work, Amina Agueznay draws from her multiple existences.

She practiced architecture in Washington DC and New York for ten years, and went on to study jewellery design, a process that has deeply impacted her artistic process. Agueznay combines architectural and metalsmithing technique with the ancestral skills of weavers in her native country of Morocco.

Since 1999, when she first showed her work at the l'Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, Amina Agueznay has participated in many exhibitions and international art fairs. Her work was presented in two separate exhibitions at MACAAL (Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden), Marrakech, in 2019.
