Amina Agueznay for the Kingdom of Morocco Pavilion at the Venice Art Bienale 2026: Venice
Asǝṭṭa, an installation by Amina Agueznay and curated by Meriem Berrada for the Kingdom of Morocco Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia
On view until 22 November 2026.
Designed specifically for the Arsenale’s Artiglierie, Asǝṭṭa explores the transmission of traditional craftsmanship and shared memory. The work resonates with the In Minor Keys theme of this 61st edition, emphasising attention to subtle narratives, quiet practices, and memories passed hand to hand.
Located at the heart of the Arsenale, Asǝṭṭa – an Amazigh word for ritual weaving – reflects the connection to the land, gestures, and voices that shape and sustain Morocco’s artisanal traditions.
