Abdelkrim Ghattas joined the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Sidi Allal Al Quarouani in 1964. In 1968, he flew to Paris to spend 4 years at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris. Since 1972, he has taught at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts in his home town. As a member of the Association Marocaine des Arts Plastiques (A.M.A.P.), he has been involved in numerous cultural and artistic activities since 1974, in particular the creation of backdrops for national holidays and murals in Asilah, Agadir, Casablanca and Salé. Participation in international snow sculpture competitions in the USA and Canada... A multi-faceted artist, his work wavers between identity and universality.
