Postwar 1945-1965 I Mohamed Melehi

Haus der Kunst, Munich

Mohamed Melehi's work Quadrettini is exhibited alongside works by internationally renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso and Roy Lichtenstein in the exhibition "Postwar 1945-1965" at the Haus der Kunst Museum of Contemporary Art in Munich.

Melehi's painting is a symbol of the Hard Edge movement.

Created in New York in 1963, the work reflects Melehi’s discovery of cybernetics, IBM's technological advances, and their impact on humanity.

More than 50 years later, Melehi was once again a pioneer in the use of another symbol of the digital age, the barcode.
